I entered another house giveaway. I think it’s odd that so many people have been foreclosed on recently and yet big entertainment companies are giving away houses. Well, I’m not complaining. SOMEONE has to win them! Might as well be me. So, if you feel the same, check it out. The HGTV Green Home happens to be in Port St. Lucie Florida which is where my friend Ali lived. She’s the one who died in the car accident. So it would be weird to be there again, but I do remember it was GORGEOUS. I’d love to be able to go back there and make good memories. Of course I have good memories of Ali, just not enough.

Sputnik

Sputnik is my black and white tomcat that kept going back to our old house. Well, a couple of days ago, he must have decided he was tired of being spurned by KC. When I let the cats out that night during my break, most of them stayed on the back porch looking regal in the moonlight, but Sputnik took off again. I thought I’d seen the last of him. I was really tired of dealing with bringing him back and the other cats having to establish pecking order. However yesterday I had the back door propped open like I do most days in the Spring, and Sputnik walks right in the door and goes straight for the food dish. So, I guess he considers this home now. I’ve noticed when he wants out or in and the door is closed, he just uses the kitchen window near the back porch. It doesn’t have a screen, and he jumps from the porch rail to the window sill and back again. In fact I’ve caught Porch Cat doing it too. Sput has started a trend. To be honest, I’m not terribly upset about this. It allows them to go outside to do their business rather than the litter box. Four cats in one litter box is a bit overwhelming. Sput is currently sprawled out on the kitchen floor catching breezes from the open back door. Welcome home Sput.
